I recently purchased a 15" Laptop, from Ebay, now perhaps its not as powerful as the newer machines,But I am on a budget as a disabled person on a fixed income, I was happy to find this deal on Ebay. The most interesting thing about this is that the technology that powers this little gem of a laptop isnot out of date, at least as far as a functional and viable technology that I can use, since I spend a great deal of time on the couch, (its really comfortable) using my laptop from the couch is really so much betterthan making the trip upstairs, a thing I may have to evaluate as my disability progresses.

This is the first laptop I have ever owned, I have had the use of company laptops, like dell, toshiba, and the likeand constantly had to call the IT department to find out why I was having problems accessing the network, ortrade in the laptop so they could, fix the problems on it, because it failed to correctly access the powerpoint presentationthat was on the agenda for the day, ( I speak of times long past here) however, it seems relevant to me even now aswith my cute MAC with its never ending possibilities seems to really make mince meat of the competition.

Some day I hope to have one of the newer MAC laptops, like this,(apple if you watching this)You can send me one, (its tax deductible) I will use it and review it, take pictures of it, sleep with it, use it every day. But until that day, I will be happy with my nice MAC laptop, if you are thinking of getting a new laptop you should seriously consider a MAC, there is nothing you cannot do with a MAC.

Web 2.0

I just read a sales letter that had some interesting copy, Ignorant copy but interesting just the same.

In this sales letter, the user states that Web2.0 technology was just Bull.

It is amazing to me how some people can pontificate about a subject they obviously know nothing
whatever about.

In fact this Blog was created using a Web2.0 technology, is this Bull?

Funny thing was that this person was attempting to collect email addresses in order to create
a list of people he could email and attempt to sell products and services.

To be honest if you are going to create a report you should know what you are talking about.

There are two different stories here.

One is about Graphics and the other is about new technology.

The one that is mentioned in this phony report is a myth, nothing more, it just does not exist.

People have confused technology with marketing, there is a difference.

Web2.0 is not about social bookmarking websites.

Web 2.0 is about technology, the ability to create content dynamically based on what
the user wants to know now that is Web2.0

Visit us at MemerZen.com for more information.

Thinking of Switching to MAC?

1. font-weight:bold; ">Happy Holidays everyone,

I wanted to share something that struck me as humorous and a true story about the power of group marketing.

As most of you may know I switched to MAC three years ago, so quite naturally I am an avid MAC aficionado.

Several years ago while visiting with family over the holidays, at the dinner table I got into an argument with my uncle about the future of computing, MAC vs PC
It got a little ugly, but not terribly so.

I made the statement that eventually MAC would overtake PC and take over the market,

( I gave MAC about 15 years to do this in my argument )

That was about five years ago, before Ipod and the amazing growth of the company that is now MAC, the stock price back then was somewhere in the lower 70s

Yesterday, I believe it was around 189.00

With millions and millions of new MAC users every year since then I would have to say that I won that argument, (I hope my uncle invested in apple)

About three days ago, I received an email from a list, basically telling me about some great software that was for sale, blah blah blah,

As usual I went to check out the sales page, because I like to know what the competition is doing.

At the bottom of the page, I found this rather interesting notion,

This software is for windows only, Sorry MAC users.

Well you can imagine my reaction, laughter, and lots of it, I though that this guy is sorry for me?

Well, in reality I am sorry for him and here is why.

Right now, there is an amazing sale going on, for MAC users only Sorry Windows users, LOL

Just to give you a little background on what is really going on in the software industry, here is a true story, about how group marketing raised a massive amount of money selling software only for the MAC platform.

Before I tell you the numbers, you should know that there is a myth that is going on about how MAC users are in the minority and that MAC is only good for graphics and video, creative media ect.

That is just not true and I expect that particular myth was started by the company that is beginning to feel the pains of a shifting economy.

On to the story,

A group of Software marketers, offered a bundle of software over a three day period, currently there are 15 hours left in the three day sale, so far they have sold ( are you ready for this )

11946 sales at an average of $50.00 per sale, ( probably slightly higher average )

That is $597,000,300.00

That is like 2 and one half days of this sale!

I have to tell you that this is an amazing amount of money in less than three days time.

Probably breaks some records somewhere.

The main point is that the MAC market is wide open for marketing.

So far I have received 13 software applications for half of what the unknown marketer was offering his windows only, (sorry MAC users) software for, in fact the software I have acquired has been nothing short of amazing, I am thinking of showing it off over the next few days.

So there you have it, the trend of the future, is not windows software, its MAC.

Have a very happy holiday, a Super Christmas and may you find a MAC under the Tree.

Tim Franklin

MAC Vs PC

So what is the Deal about the MAC?

I could go on forever, but I only have a few minuets right now, LOL

Once upon a time I used a windows computer to develop with, every day I spent hours of my time rebooting my computer, facing the blue screen of death and more.

It was during these times of madness that I would consider buying a MAC.

I used to believe the myths about how a MAC was just too expensive,

(not true by the way)

I finally broke down and bought a MAC about three years ago.

I have never looked back, now I spend less time trying to get my computer to work and more time having fun and developing my skills.

In fact most days I dont even turn my computer on at all, for the longest time my poor windows computer was in the closet, collecting a fine spray of dust.

I would think of it from time to time, about how lonely it was sitting in the closet all by itself.

But hey, I just dont have much of a need for it anymore, Another myth is about how you cant find software for the MAC.

Wrong again, most of the time I can find an open source version of software that will do the same thing as a commercial version made for windows.

The rest of the time, MAC software is just fantastic.

Here is another thing about MACs, you dont have to worry about finding the right driver to get your digital camera to work.

Here is a true story, I bought a digital camera, two years ago.

Still had the windows machine working then.

I took some pictures and then hooked the camera up to the MAC.

A dialog box appeared that said, would you like to upload your photos from your Sony Digital camera,

I said Well YES.

click, its done, no fuss no muss.

Next just out of curiosity, I did the same thing again and this time I hooked up the sony digital camera to my windows computer.

...............
..............
..........
......

Please insert the disk that contains the driver for your generic digital camera.

................................................................
...........................................................
.......................................................
................................................
........................................
............................
..................
.............
.......

Driver not found please locate the driver that came with your digital camera.

................................................................
...........................................................
.......................................................
................................................
........................................
............................
..................
.............
.......

Sorry this disk does not contain the driver.......

Ok you get the idea......

It took three days to get the camera working for the windows computer.

Wow what a difference.

A MAC just works.....

MemberZen.com Content Group
