The question was raised earlier in some well read threads, here, I was busy working on a project and I was interested in the subject matter, but did not have time to post, so here goes,

just this morning, after thinking about it for some time, it came to me, what I would say/

What would I tell a new Internet Marketer?

” One of the most important things, is to remember how you feel today”

Lost, Confused, alone, looking through threads trying to understand the dichotomy of terms, slang, acronyms and just not knowing were to get started.

Remember how you feel today, and when you have learned, when you begin to understand, when you begin to find a path that makes you happy, that creates some success, even if its just a little bit of success,

pass that knowledge along to someone else.

someone days or months from now may be in the same situation you are in today.

Pass the knowledge along, help someone else that is feeling the exact same way you are feeling today.

If I can help you today to find a way to fit in, to find a place to grow online, then you do the same for someone else when you feel like you are on solid ground.

I would tell them not to get caught up in the same mistakes I made.

I would tell them not to argue and fuss and fight in flame wars on forums.

Because it does no one any good.

I would tell them not to be overly concerned with the rhetoric that comes from some members of a forum where they feel obliged to defend the honor of someone who has no need of defending, to belittle or engage in hostile intellectual banter just because you can,
just dont do it, no one benefits when people on a forum fight and attempt to get the
upper hand in a verbal battle of wits and language.

Walk away from trouble if you can.
It wont mean your weak if you turn the other cheek.
I hope youre old enough to understand:
Son, you dont have to fight to be a man.

the most important thing in being new to Internet Marketing is to learn from the mistakes of more experienced marketers, dont make the mistakes they made, listen, learn and grow.

Absorb all the knowledge you can, ask for help when you need it, use google like a tank to learn even more, the most important thing, when you do begin to learn, dont run around on forums and fight with others over mere words.

Help some one else that feels the same way you do now.

Dont buy anything from a big money affiliate vendor. 

 

 

Why, because your wasting your money. 

 

 

Think about it, If I have a product that I want to sell and I want 20 dollars for that product, I can sell it for that no problem, enter big money affiliates. 

 

Many of the big gurus has started padding products in order to get big money affiliates to promote the products. 

 

So what is padding a product. 

 

Well its simple lets take the same 20 dollar product, now lets add in the big money affiliates, in order to pay the affiliates I have to raise the price of the product to cover the expense of paying the affiliate. 

 

So now the price is $97.00

 

Is it a good deal?  No its not what is happening is that affiliates are getting paid from the price of the product. 

 

As a responsible seller, it would be better to provide a good product at a good price rather than padding the product price in order to get affiliates to promote it. 

 

Dont buy from any of these affiliates, your just wasting your money. 

 

The sellers that promote this garbage marketing technique, are also to blame. 

 

I wont buy from someone that does this, why?  because I am wasting my money and I dont like to do that. 

 

You see the actual value of the product is just $20.00

 

no more no less, but when you have all these big money affiliates you have to pay them big money so in the end the consumer is the one that pays the affiliates. 

 

This is a bad method of marketing. 

 

Just say no to big money marketers. 

If you are not using Amazon s3 you really should be!

 

 

There is an untapped market, it is called Amazon S3, few realize the potential and even less understand the benefits to using Amazon services. 

 

Beyond the obvious there are some key instances, that if let out of the bag so to speak, could create a run on the use of Amazon web services. 

 

The first real benefit is value. 

 

There is no better value on this planet than Amazon Web services. 

 

As of this writing it is hoped that Amazon will continue to be that excellent value. 

 

In a time when the retail market routinely engages in price gouging as a method of doing business, it is not only refreshing, but actually will put a smile on your face. 

 

There are so many corporate environments that  have a price structure designed to remove competition from the marketplace, in an economic downturn, this is irresponsible, as well as just plain Evil. 

 

Thank you Amazon for creating a place where everyone can come and use your services, at a price everyone can afford. 

 

Ronald Mcdonalds may some day sport a lavender necktie andmulti colored threads if the current administration of mcdonalds has its way.
Mcdonalds has long been a familyorientied business and I am sure its stock holders do not want to see a boycott of its products and services from the largest organization of combined memberships in the world. 

However, they seem to be set on a path of destruction.  
You would wonder why?
and how could someone be so stupid 
because church going folks eat and boy do they love to do that.  
But from pulpits across the nation, this sunday may be more about the disease that is homosexuality and the corporations that choose to spread that disease across the newspapers and video agendas  of mcdonalds becomes synonymous with other organizations that have recently supported the homosexual agenda of homosexual marriage. 
 Apparently the leaders of the board of directors would rather risk a boycott than to do the right thing, and stay out of the culture war.  
We feel strongly that homosexual marriage will not help the world grow in a positive way.  
So what do we do here.  
We stop eating at mcdonalds, period, end of sentence. Good bye Mcdonalds.    

Handling Customers Professionally

 

 

Doing business online in a professional manner is important. 

 

If you dont handle your customers in a professional manner you often end up with less profits, after all that is what it is all about, professionalism begets profitable relationships. 

 

You have heard the expression, dont burn your bridges.

 

You could apply that to Internet marketing, in fact you should. 

 

Building a customer relationship is about trust, in fact without trust you will never be successful in any online endeavor, you have to tend it, nurture it, water it like it was a garden. 

 

I recently encountered a group of individuals who acted in the most UN professional manner I have ever seen, rude treatment of customers, placing the blame for an obvious product problem on the customer.    ” its your server “  its your problem,  it must be something else that is the problem, ( never its our problem )  when a person cannot take responsibility for what they create or do, that is a real serious problem. 

 

IN some cases people who have no experience dealing with the public will

 

attack anyone whom makes a post about a problem with their product. 

 

You have to ask Why?   because that is not professionalism, 

 

You have to ask what is it?  

 

 It is intimidation, they must be thinking that if they attack a customer, that customer will be afraid to ask a question the next time. 

 

Intimidation, is a well known tactic, however it is not usually a tactic that is used with a customer you hope to sell a product or service to in the future. 

 

In fact one particular, person stated, that 

 

” you are welcome to exercise your right not to do buy from me”

 

This was in a public forum, which is fine, but is it really fine, because now everyone can see what type of person this is,  an unprofessional person, someone lacking experience in dealing with the public. 

 

when you do this you are telling everyone  what they can expect from you as far as a service experience. 

 

I know I would not buy from someone with that attitude would you?

 

Because what this person really meant was go #$%$# yourself. 

 

The funny thing is that these people dont even realize what they are doing to their own business, by acting in the way that they have chosen to deal with customers. 

 

I have spent a lot of time online, and offline running business, I started working in the offline world at the age of 14, I have spent most of my life working with the public in one way or another, these experiences, have given me an advantage over most people attempting to run an online business. 

 

I hope this has been instructional, or at least helpful, you know most people reading this would say this is common sense and you know what is at the heart of poor customer service dont you?

Often I find myself, without the energy to cook food or the will to clean up. 

 

So its off to get some fast food, the other morning, I went to an eating establishment and ordered a breakfast sandwich. 

 

I made the mistake of not checking my food, how many times, do you forget?

 

These days you have to just about examine the food before you leave the parking lot to see if it is fit to eat. 

 

Why do you think that is?

 

There must be something better or perhaps its just my luck.

 

 

 

I have to wonder myself, do the employees of these places not care at all about how good the food is or for that matter, would they eat the food they serve us?

 

I can count on one hand how many times I get hot fries with my hamburger these days, so I have just about given up on getting good fast food.

Flash seems to be getting a lift these days, which is surprising since Macromedia was disposed of by Adobe. 

 

Many developers heard the bell tolling for their favorite programming solution add to that the fact that most search engines are unable to index flash content in any meaningful way and overnight flash took a back seat to AJAX and many other newer technologies. 

 

In fact I completely abandoned flash for AJAX and PHP. 

 

After all this time, it would appear that flash is gaining ground as a technology again, as it becomes more popular with webmeisters and developers.

I have a short story to tell, one that makes me sick but I will tell it anyway. 

 

  I am an old man, I look my age too and then some. 

 

Yesterday I went to purchase a pack of cigarettes, The person at the counter, stated that they would need to see a specific form of ID, 

 

Now, believe me no has mistaken me for less than 40 for many years now.

 

 I had left my drivers license in the car, since i am old and a little infirm, it takes a great deal of effort for me to go back to my car and get my license. 

 

I had perfectly good identification issued by the state in which I live. 

 

However, the assistant Manager, is on a power trip. 

 

(dont you hate people like that)

 

Some people cannot handle power, even if its a little assistant manager at a little convenience store. 

 

This person took pleasure in my discomfort, that is why I am writing this today. 

 

Not only did this person know without a doubt that I passed the age of 18 some 40 years ago, but she actually gained pleasure in causing me discomfort. 

 

I wonder should I report her to the company she works for. 

 

Would they care. 

 

I think they would, because you really dont want someone representing your company who is a sadistic sad, sack of ” Ok you get the idea.”

 

I just wonder how someone can get a job like this, a position of responsibility where the owner is trusting this person to count the money and put it in the bank, 

 

Perhaps they are in for a rude awakening some day. 

 

Should I tell the owner?

 

Perhaps, I should, the lady obviously has what we in the industry call a personality disorder. 

 

You have seen them, in many public places, sometimes they make a fool of themselves, sometimes they seem normal, but later you start finding out things about them that make you sick.

Producing products that are valuable takes time and effort,
gone are the days of writing a quick report with the expectation
of making large sums of money without effort. 

 I saw this several years ago and began to prepare for the
death of Marketing reports.  These days marketers give
away marketing reports in exchange for an email address. 

This creates a problem for new marketers who really have
one source of trying to break into Internet Marketing.

That source is writing, at least that is what most marketers starting out believe.

The problem is that most of these marketers have been misled  
into believing that the only way to make money is to write a quick
report and sell it.  

The truth is that product creation has become a very complex thing,
you must have something of exceptional value, In the Internet Marketing
world, in order to really make sales you have to create a product that
is worth ten times what you are selling it for otherwise you will not
see many sales.   

These days, you need how to Video, PDF reports, a good solid product and
that is not all, you also need a real bonus product, not just some worthless
giveaway product.

It is important to create all these things in order to successfully market a
product.

Over deliver that is the message you need to understand.

If the customer expects a certain quality then you must deliver ten times
the value you promise.

Over deliver and you will see sales.
